Be Still Inside

Be still, and know that I am God

Psalm 46:10

God wants us to have patience, be relaxed, and commune with Him. When we are still inside, we can slow down and walk with the Lord. Did we ever see Jesus in a hurry, he always took the time to help and heal people. There are times in our life where we have schedules and we may need to rush, but we can be still inside and it will help us to meet our schedule in a relaxed state.

The LORD will fight for you while you keep still. (Exodus 14:14) When we are still inside our thoughts can slow down and we think more clearly, and we can overcome Satan’s temptations. The Spirit and the Lord is with us, and when we slow down, we can commune with Christ at a deeper level.

We live in a fast-paced world, but Christians are still inside as we go through our day communing with the Lord and guided by the Spirit. When we go through our day being still and relaxed, it is better for our physical health, because are stress greatly reduced or eliminated as we put our faith in Christ.

Satan’s goal is to keep our minds racing and never have patience, and to always be in a hurry, which is the opposite of what the Lord wants for us. Satan wants us to live with fear, worry, impatience, anger, or anything that will keep our thoughts away from God. When we are controlled by our emotions in can affect our physical health, but if we are controlled by the Spirit, we are relaxed. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11:29-30) We are created in the image of God, and it’s natural for us to be controlled by the Spirit.

Today commune with the Lord, praising and thanking him, and seek to be still is inside.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be still inside and commune with you. And keep me still in every situation through your divine power. In Jesus name, Amen
