A Thankful Heart
I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the LORD.
Psalm 116:17
When we think how much the Lord as done for us, we have a thankful heart. God has done everything for us so Heaven will be our eternal home; the Holy Spirit lives in us, and Father and the Son make their home with us, we have the Bible to understand God, Christ, and people, and we have a church family.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) We should be thankful for things we can easily take for granted. We should be thankful for everything: eternal life, Word of God, church family, and Christ is with us through the Spirit.
Rooted and built up in him, and confirmed in the faith, as also you have learned, abounding in him in thanksgiving. (Colossians 2:7) The closer we are to Christ, the more we serve Christ, by telling others about eternal life; and we are driven by God’s love in our hearts. And we have a truly thankful heart to the Father and the Son for guiding us down the narrow road to Heaven, and giving us divine power over Satan.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) God has given us divine power over Satan, and we learn to overcome our sinful nature.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Only Christ can give us true freedom, and there is no freedom on this earth that compares to the freedom from Christ; because Heaven is our home.
A thankful heart to God has a powerful on us, and brings us closer to Christ. And a thankful heart motivates us life to serve Christ and bring people to Christ. We do everything for Christ, give tanks for everything; we worship God, power over Satan, freedom in Christ, God has given us free-will so it’s our choice to have Heaven as our eternal home.
Today have a thankful heart for everything the Lord and done for us.
Prayer: Lord thank you for every blessing you have put in m life, and my greatest desire is to be with the Father and the Son in Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen
