What is Satan’s Plan?

Posted on

The whole world was astonished and followed the beast. Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?”

Revelation 13:3-4.

What does Satan need to do in order for the whole world to follow the beast? Satan will use his power of deception to get control of countries that have the potential to oppose a world government.  For Satan to be in control, he must change the government to oppose Christians because Satan’s main goal is to destroy God’s people. Christians are against a one world leader because we know Satan’s evil plan of placing the beast in power.

With the beast in control of the all nations, he has to power to turn the world against Christ. “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. (John 15:18) This is what Jesus told his apostles and it is Satan’s goal for the world to hate God’s people. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. (Matthew 24:9)  All nations will hate Christians because the dragon (Satan) has the beast ruling the world. We see the persecution and killing of Christians escalating in the world today.

At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other…, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. (Matthew 24:10,13) This is what Jesus said would happen in the last days when Satan has the world persecuting and killing Christians. Satan uses the fear of persecution and death as a tool to turn Christians away from God.  When a Christian withstands the persecution or death because of their faith in Christ, it makes Satan extremely angry because he knows that person is headed straight to Heaven.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  (2 Chronicles 7:14) We fight this spiritual war through the power of prayer and guidance by the Holy Spirit.  God has the power of the spiritual world, the physical world, and all creation; and he equips us with his power to bring the Truth to the world. With God being sovereign over all creation and Christ guiding us to bring the Truth to people, we have the power of victory.  Remember, victory in Christ is doing what the Lord calls us to do.

Today, know you are victorious in Christ and remember you will see the day when Christ returns and destroys all evil.  Bring the Truth to as many souls as the Spirit guides you, so they will not mourn when Christ returns, but rejoice.

Prayer: Lord, give me strength to withstand Satan’s evil and the power to bring more of Christ’s love to the world.  Thank you for always being with me a guiding me through life as your servant. In Jesus name, Amen
