God is Sovereign
In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:11-13
We have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. God, in his supreme authority, works everything for his will, for our good, and for his glory. We are in the Lord’s hands and the Lord is sovereign over all creation meaning our soul is protected for eternity. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. (John 10:28) This verse is a promise of God and we can be comforted knowing whatever happens in life the Lord will carry us through to our eternal home. Nothing in life will snatch us out of the God’s hands.
Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12) In the last days, Satan’s evil will be seen in people who don’t know Christ because their love will grow cold. In the last days, a Christian’s love should grow stronger with more love for the Lord and more love for lost souls. Our hearts go out to these lost souls with a great desire for them know God’s truth.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9 ESV) God is sovereign and has supreme authority over all the Earth. We know he is with us, guiding us by the Spirit. If we know God and his love and power, then our faith will soar like eagles. God wants us to know he is always with us and that he is in total control. Through his authority over the world, he is able to protect us from the evil one and not let us be tempted beyond our endurance.
Today, recognize God for his sovereignty. Remember, you are in his family and he will carry you through life to your heavenly home. You are connected to the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit and you are sustained by their infinite love for you.
Prayer: Lord I put my trust in you because you are the sovereign God, the supreme authority. My heart is filled with your love and fear from Satan is going away. Thank you Lord for your perfect love and care. In Jesus name, Amen
