We Love Everyone
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. “For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? “If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? “Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Matthew 5:44-48
We love all people, including those you do evil in this world, because they are created by God and have been deceived by Satan. When we love all people and know many have been deceived by Satan, our hatred increases toward Satan and his lies and deception.
Jesus showed love to the Roman soldiers who crucified him when he asked the Father to forgive them. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing. And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. (Luke 23:34) Jesus never showed anything but love, but He never avoided telling people the truth.
We are created to be like Jesus, and there is no room in our hearts for hatred of people, but all our hate goes to Satan for the evil he has caused in this world. We are created to have a heart of love that comes from the Father, because how can we minister to lost souls without a caring heart of love?
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. (John 4:16) With a heart of love, God lives in us, and our hatred goes to Satan who tempts everyone to sin. The more we love people, especially lost souls close to us, it makes us hate sin even more, and helps us to overcome Satan’s evil temptations. Love people hate sin; and the more love we have for people, the more we hate sin.
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. (1 Peter 3:9) Christians tell others about salvation in Christ, and that requires a loving caring heart to everyone. And like God we are also patience with people, and we are prepared to overcome the lies that lost souls believe.
Today show kindness to everyone, because most of the world has been deceived by Satan. If you see someone in sin, let your hatred go to Satan and not toward the person.
Prayer: Lord, help me to love my enemies, and all the evil in the world goes toward hatred of Satan’s deceptions. In Jesus name, Amen
