Wait on the Lord

Posted on

Wait for the Lord and keep His way, And He will exalt you to inherit the land;
When the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

Psalm 37:34

The Lord is sovereign over all creation; He knows everything that happens on earth and the thoughts of all people.  Judgment is in the future for everyone that ever lived on this planet. It is appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment. There will be the Judgment Seat of Christ where all those who accepted Jesus as Lord, and Savior will stand. (Hebrews 9:27)

We see more people in this world that don’t know God’s Truth and have their own belief. We wait patiently for the Lord’s return because we need time to bring the Truth to lost souls. We have God’s love for all people and we hurt for lost souls because they are deceived by Satan. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:44-45) God loves everyone but those who don’t accept Christ are lost. Our hearts are filled with God’s love and we love our enemies and we seek to tell them about Christ.

We wait for the Lord to take away the evil, but we pray and minister to those deceived by Satan.  We hate sin and we hate what Satan has done to people with his lies. Then Jesus told them this parable: Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. (Luke 15:3-5) If we can find one soul that receives the Truth about Christ, that is victory. We have to be prepared and we need Christ with us to help people know the Truth.

This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:3) If we desire everyone to be saved, we will minister to lost souls, and this will give us patience to wait on the Lord. When ministering to others we will develop patience on the Lord, for his return or answer to our pray.

Today if you are waiting on the Lord, develop patience by focusing on ministering to others. The more we serve the Lord the more likely he will not have wait long for his answer. Often the Lord answer our prayer as we walk in obedience to his will because some prayers cannot be answered instantly, and walking according to his will shows our faith and our priority.

Prayer Help make my priority to always be pointing people to Christ. Guide my focus to on You and others, reflecting Christ to everyone.  In Jesus name, Amen
