See Through the Eyes of God

Posted on

Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.

Psalm 119:18

The more Christ-like we become the more we understand the divine ways of God. The closer we are to the Lord and as our brain renews to the ways of God, we see things and people as God sees them. We tend to see God everywhere in his creation, especially when we see love, care, and kindness. And the most important thing we see and understand, is his divine laws, and that every law is for our benefit.

Seeing through the eyes of God brings the greatest life we can ever imagine. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8) When we live by God’s laws, we will be prosperous and successful, because his commands are perfect. We give everything ounce of our strength to follow Christ through the Spirit so we are doing the will of God. With hearts that desire to follow Christ, we will see the divine work of God everywhere.

But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! (Matthew 6:23) When we see everything through the eyes of God, there is nothing but light, but if we see darkness, we pray for light. We always see light, but if Satan brings darkness, stay in the light and darkness flees.

Looking through the eyes of God, whatever we see will be light, unless we choose to see something that is dark. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. (Luke 11:34) We can see the world through the eyes of God, unless we choose to see darkness through the eyes of Satan. We can see the world through eyes of the Spirit, or we can see the world through the eyes of the flesh. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you. (Luke 11:36) When we see the world through the eyes of God, it’s like the divine light of God is shining through us, bringing divine peace. It’s a feeling as if the Lord is with us.

Today seek to see everything through the eyes of God. See his creation, his love in people, and how he guides Christians through life.  Everything you see as good comes from God.

Prayer:  Lord guide me through life seeing things through the eyes of God. In Jesus name, Amen
