Power From God
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.
Ephesians 3:20
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The power of God that is released in us, and it depends on our faith and on our courage..
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5). We pray every day and trust God to answer our prayers according to his will and his timing, while we walk in obedience to his will. This way we have stepped off the throne and the Lord’s power is now released in us.
Satan tries to kill our courage through his weapon of fear, but the Word says perfect love casts out fear, but we still may a small amount of doubt in our minds. Recognizing God’s perfect love and the promise of eternal life gives us divine security and further reduces our fear and worry. Jesus looked at them and said, With man this is impossible, but with God all are possible. (Matthew 19:26). The more we reflect God’s love the more our focus is on God and others, freeing us from Satan’s fear.
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged; (Deuteronomy 31:8). The more we serve the Lord, the more we trust God to take care of us, guiding us in his wisdom. The Lord is always with us and he goes before us.
Through divine faith we have overcome the world and we crush the fear that comes from Satan. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4). We have the power of God to overcome the world and we live free in Christ through our faith in the Lord. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)
Today, live in the power of God, and reflect Christ and, know Christ is with you every second of the day. Commune with the Lord throughout the day and pray for his power and wisdom.
Prayer: Lord, I pray today that your power will be seen through me; the power to be a light in this world and overcome the darkness of Satan. In Jesus’ name, Amen
