Our Power is Christ

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Ephesians 3:20

It’s through our faith we live with the power of Christ. He will guide us through life, but we have to ask for his power and wisdom. Christ desires to guide us through life with his power, so we can overcome anything Satan puts in our path, and be light in this world..

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) If we desire to walk in the Lord’s power, we must fully depend on Him in all things, we don’t pick and choose when we need Christ. We need Christ at all times, because we are to reflect the heart of Jesus to the world.

Satan tempts us to depend on self, and only call on Christ when we think we need him. Notice the apostle Paul seeks to depend on Christ and his power at all times, because he was crucified with Christ. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) The spiritual battle for everyone, is to stop leaning on our own understanding, but trust the Lord’s ways over our ways.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:3-4) Our life is hidden, because the wisdom and power of Christ is now our life.  When our life is hidden in Christ, we are free because our will is tempted by Satan, and our will has been replaced by the Lord’s will. We remember every time we are tempted that we will live by the Lord’s will. We are now living with the power of God.

Today seek to follow the Spirit doing, the Lord’s will in everything you do. Ask for his wisdom, power, patience, or for whatever you need at the time.

Prayer:  Lord me help to hide my life in Christ, and walk with love, wisdom, and power. In Jesus name, Amen
