Our Life is Christ

Posted on

For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.

Matthew 16:25

Dying to self and living for Christ is how every Christian should live. When our life is Christ, it means Christ guides us through life, and that is way we are created to live. Christ will guide us through anything Satan puts in our path, and he is guiding us down the Narrow Road to Heaven.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) If Christ is our life, it sounds like we are slave, but quite the opposite, Christ sets us free and there no freedom on this earth better than following Christ to Heaven. We are free because we know Heaven is our home, and we are free because God is walking with us through life, so we can be with Him in Heaven.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. (Psalm 34:8) When we walk following Christ through the Spirit, we soon experience the goodness of the Lord and his blessings, and his blessing draws us closer to him and his ways. The longer we walk with the Lord, bringing people to Christ, the blessing from God get stronger in our hearts.

The love God puts in our hearts, along with the blessings, changes us to be more like Jesus. And the more we are like Jesus, the closer we are to Christ. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1John 4:7) The more we know God, the more we will understand the Word of God., and love brings us closer to Christ.

We follow Christ down the Narrow Road with a heart of love, Godly wisdom, strength, and security. Fear, anger, insecurity, loneliness, pride, worry, and anything else Satan tries to feed our minds and hearts, disappear because of God’s love in our hearts. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, (1 John 4:18)

Today: Father, keep filling my mind with your love and help me to experience more freedom in Christ. Help me to follow the Lord’s good, pleasing and perfect will.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always find my life in Christ, and to always do his divine will. In Jesus name, Amen
