More Than a Conqueror

Posted on

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

Romans 8:37

This scripture tells us that we are more than conquerors in all these things. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? (Romans 8:35) Does overcoming all of this mean we are more than conquerors?

Through the Lord’s love and our love for him, Christ can work his miraculous love and power through us. Being more than conquerors means Christ’s love enables us to overcome anything with His power, strength, and endurance. God lives in us with his perfect love and He guides us throughout life to overcome the world. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4) We are more than conquerors because we have overcome everything the world puts in our path through the miraculous power of Christ.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV) The Lord’s power works in us when we always trust the Lord with all our hearts, and we stop leaning on our own understanding. Having total faith in the Lord in all situations draws us closer to the Lord bringing us comfort and peace. We trust the Lord with no doubts because we can trust his perfect love for us.

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:6) We have total faith in the Lord no matter what we are experiencing in this world and we tell ourselves we will not doubt the Lord’s love for us. Many Christians are going through persecution and death with total faith in the Lord knowing Heaven is their home. With faith and eternity in our hearts, we have the Lord’s power in us.  Christ sees our home in Heaven, and He sees our earthly life to the full.  He guides us, as His ambassadors, to reflect Jesus to the world.

Today, live knowing Christ’s perfect love for you and His infinite power He reveals in you. Never doubt your faith because the Lord is perfectly faithful. Live with a heart of love, comfort, and peace that comes from fully trusting the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for making me more than a conqueror through your perfect love and power. May my heart always trust in you and your power in me to overcome Satan’s attempts to bring doubt. In my mind, I trust you in all things and I pray in my heart that I never doubt. In Jesus’ name, Amen
