Miracles from God

Posted on

You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.

Psalm 77:14

With God all things are possible, and what we consider as miracles are normal for God. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) Below are a few miracles from the Bible.

Jesus cast out demons (Mark 5:1–11)

God unleashes the ten plagues of Egypt (Exodus 3–11)

Jesus walks on water (Matthew 14:22–33)

The Israelites cross the Red Sea (Exodus 13:17–14:29)

Jesus feeds the five thousand (Matthew 14:13–21)

Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead (John 11:38–44)

Jesus is resurrected (Matthew 27:59–28:3)

These are just a few of the many miracles performed by God. Others include healings by Jesus, fulfilled prophesies, and battle victories for the Israelites.

Miracles are things that are outside the possibility of man. Does God operate within the limitations he gave man? No, God’s normal pattern of operation is miraculous. Miracles show God’s glory and his love for us. God has perfect love for us and he carries his children through life in his righteous right hand, performing miracles for us that we may never know this side of heaven.

So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) A little faith is powerful if we acknowledge a big God. In the Word, Christ often asked those he ministered if they had faith. If we have faith in the loving and powerful God, then we can expect God to answer our prayers with no limitation. Pray knowing all things are possible for God, and immediately thank him for hearing and answering your prayer, but remember God answers prayers in his time and his way. Move on in serving God, and leave the results to him.

Today, when you pray, remember not to hinder your prayer by your limitations because with God all things are possible. When you pray for what you consider impossible, it shows you know God, his love, and his power. Make the habit of praying for miracles and don’t insult God by limiting his divine love and power.

Prayer: Today help me realize you are the creator of heaven and earth, and all things are possible for you. Help me to pray and not limit my prayers to my earthly capabilities, and that all my prayers seek to bring glory to you. In Jesus name, Amen
