Love from God
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:30-31
Love for God and Christ, and love for people is the greatest command; and a heart of love is what makes us more like Jesus. Jesus had love for everyone, but he always spoke the truth to everyone.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patients, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23) Love from God comes to us through the Holy Spirit. Love is the first fruit of the Spirit, and all the other fruit becomes natural with a heart of love. And love is what makes us closer to God and to Christ.
Our love increases the closer we are to Christ, and we are closer to Christ through threw our church family, which motivates us to obey the Word and bring others to Christ. We have love and faith that enables us to be guided by Christ.
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (Joshua 1:8) Reading and obeying the Word brings us closer to Christ, and the closer we are to Christ the more love we receive from God. And the more love we have in our hearts the more we seek to bring people to Christ.
Obeying the Word, having a Church family, and bringing people to Christ; is needed to bring us closer to Christ and to increase the love in our hearts. And with a heart of love our thoughts are more on things above, than on things of the world. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2)
Today live with a heart of love that comes from God through the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Lord let me reflect Christ with a heart of Love. In Jesus name, Amen
