The Lord Will Meet You Anywhere

Posted on

The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

Psalm 145:18

Anyone in the lost world can come to the Lord in their sinful state, seeking his truth, and the Lord is there listening to their heart. It is impossible to clean ourselves up before coming to the Lord, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). Everyone who comes to the Lord is in a sinful, broken state. Christ cleanses us of all sin, fills us with his Spirit, brings us into his family, protects us with his angels, gives us His life to the full, and tells us heaven is our home.

Whether we are a seasoned Christian or a sinful soul seeking God, the Lord will meet us and provide us with what we ask for and truly need. The problem is we may not show up to meet the Lord. Satan may fill us with fear, guilt, shame, or pride; all of which can pull us away from God and into self. Whatever our state of mind, we need to meet the Lord. He fully understands us and wants us to be in his family. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

If we are seasoned Christians, we always meet the Lord with a heart of faith. Our goal is to trust the Lord with everything in our lives and to seek his guidance with total confidence. We trust the Lord to guide us with his love, divine wisdom, and power; and we trust him with whatever the outcome. We trust the Lord knowing his ways are always perfect, even if we do not fully understand. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Live your faith by this verse. Trust the Lord with all your heart knowing he is God and his ways are perfect and best for us. Lean not on your own understanding, remembering we are not God and we can never understand all of his ways this side of eternity. Always meet the Lord with this attitude of faith.

Today, know you can meet the Lord, whether you are a stranger seeking Him, or a fifty-year Christian. The Lord desires to be with you, and his love for you is always perfect. Seek to reflect his love through kindness and patience to others. And never forget that all things are possible for God, even when things seem impossible for you.

Let’s Pray: Lord, guide me to meet you throughout the day as I trust you to guide me to victory in Christ. Let your light shine through me to everyone, that they may see Christ in me through my words, emotions, and attitude. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
