Live with the Lord’s Power
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Ephesians 3:20-21
We can live each day of our lives with the Lord’s power and his divine guidance, because the Lord is with us. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. (Matthew 28:20) When we compare our power and wisdom to the Lord’s power and wisdom, we anxiously seek to serve the Lord. It’s to our great advantage to seek the Lord’s guidance, with his divine abilities working within us.
Now that I am old and grey, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me. (Psalm 71:18) David ask God that he proclaim his power to this new generation. We should ask the Lord to open doors to proclaim salvation in Christ. Satan has spread his lies and deceptions all over the world, and Christ gives us his power, knowledge, and words to bring God’s truth to the world. With the power of Christ and with his guidance, we can be light on a hill.
What good is it to have God’s power working in us and seldom use it to bring people to Christ.? With our hearts filled with God’s love we should be on fire to tell the world about Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58) The Lord desires that we be motivated by a heart filled with God’s unconditional love.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John4:7) The more we minister to others the more love God puts in our hearts; love draws us closer to the Lord, and love motivates us to serve Christ in bringing people to Christ. This is why love is the greatest command. The power of our Christian life is the love that God puts in our hearts.
Today use the Christ’s power to be light for Christ, showing and telling others about Christ. The word is filled with Satan’s lies, and we tell the world God’s truth.
Prayer: Lord fill my heart with your love as I go and tell the world about your divine truth. I pray that Christ will guide my thoughts, words, and actions. In Jesus name, Amen
