Stay Near to the Lord
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
Throughout the day we call upon the Lord with the truth of the Word, and we depend on the Lord to guide us to reflect God’s truth to everyone. It’s a blessing knowing Christ is with us, guiding our thoughts, words, and actions. We are now in total control of ourselves through the power of God, and we are free in Christ.
I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. (Psalm 16:8) It’s amazing how we are changed, when we know the Lord is with us; we reflect Jesus with all the fruit of the Spirit. We walk through the day as a light for Christ with a heart of love and compassion, seeking and praying for opportunities to tell others about salvation in Christ.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) When we walk with Christ, we are free from being a slave to the sinful world because we are overcoming evil by doing good. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans12:21) When we remain aware that Christ is with us guiding us through our day, we will continue to walk down the middle of the narrow road to Heaven.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8) The Lord is near and we ask for his guidance and help, because when we ask, we show our dependence on him. And if we don’t ask, are we depending on ourselves? We are guided by the Word, but we need guidance by Christ in the present moment.
Today be aware that Christ is with you and he is willing to give you his wisdom with a loving patience heart. And be free in Christ because through his power you are overcoming the world in every situation.
Prayer: Thank you for always being with me and willing to guide me through each day. Guide me to be a light on hill, telling your truth to overcome Satan’s lies that people are believing.
