Live Today for Eternal Life
The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2:17
Everybody faces eternity, so live the day for eternal life. Eternal life is shown in the Word of God, and first thing we need is the Holy Spirit. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9)
Live each day for eternal life, because eternity is in our future, and where we go is our choice. Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. (Hebrews 7:25) Christ intercedes to God for us and we live each day that is pleasing to Christ.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one. (John 10:28-30) The Lord will not let anyone snatch us out of Christ’s hand, but we can always walk away from the Lord. If don’t live each day for the Lord, Satan may get a foothold in our life
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23) Every Christian should live each day with characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit. And all the fruits come from a heart of love and self-control. Every Christian should have control of their emotions through the power of Christ.
Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. (James 4:14) We live each day for eternal life because we may vanish tomorrow; and no one is promised tomorrow. So don’t wait to live for eternity, live each day for eternal life.
Today live for eternal life with a heart of love and self-control.
Prayer: Lord, help me to live each day for eternal life, and have your power to overcome Satan’s temptations. In Jesus name, Amen
