Live Inside Out not Outside In

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.

Galatians 5:17

Living from the outside in implies the world has power to control our thoughts, words, and actions.  Our soul is heavily influenced by happenings in the world, influencing our thoughts and emotions.

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5)  Living outside in, our minds are on Living by fleshly desires is living outside in and living by the Spirit is living inside out.  In other words, are we controlled by the world or by Christ, or a combination of both? There are Christians that live by the world and try to follow Christ and there are Christians where Christ is their life.

Outside in or inside out is what has control of our soul.  Remember our soul is our thoughts, personality, emotions, and will; our soul is spiritual and lives forever. It is important what controls our soul, our thoughts and emotions. Living from the outside in implies the world has the power to control our thoughts, words, and actions. Our soul is heavily influenced by happenings in the world, influencing our thoughts and emotions.

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5)  Living outside in, our minds are on what the flesh desires and living inside our minds are what the Spirit desires.

Living inside out is being controlled by the Spirit. We are more connected to Christ through the Spirit than we are connected to the world.  The spiritual connections to the Lord can be more powerful than our fleshly connections to the world.  This is because the Lord has more power over our souls than the world has over our souls. Our connection to Christ through the Spirit can be beyond our imagination, and is strengthened by our thoughts, prayer, meditation, the Word, and fellowship.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)  Crucified with Christ and no longer live — Paul ceased living outside in. He now lives totally for Christ, inside out. Paul’s soul was controlled by Christ more than controlled by the world.

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:11-13.  Paul was content in all circumstances because his soul was one with Christ and the Lord filled his soul with love and contentment. Our soul is fed by Christ which is more powerful than whatever the world feeds to our soul.

Today, live inside out.  Live through the Spirit connected to Heaven.  Let your soul be fed from Christ with love, joy, and contentment; and don’t let the world control your soul.

Prayer; Guide me to live inside out, to be controlled by the Spirit and to interface to the world through the Spirit with your guidance. I pray for your divine power to make my soul one with you.  In Jesus’ name, Amen
