Live Each Day to the Full
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10
If we live each day serving Christ, then we will have life to the full, which means nothing is missing. Only Christ can give life to the full, and we will be content in all circumstances just like the apostle Paul. God created us and only God can give lasting love, peace, joy, and contentment; and the remaining fruit of the Spirit.
We go through life with Holy Spirit, Christ, and the Father is always with us. Christ guides us through life, and gives us the strength to overcome Satan’s evil. We are truly blessed to have Christ guiding us through each day of our life, and into Heaven.
Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4:14) The purpose of this short earthly life, is to obey God’s Word so Heaven will be our home. This life is a test, to see who is going live each day for eternity with life to the full from Christ.
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) Every human on the planet is created in the image of God, and if we live as we are created, we will experience the best life possible. All the blessing from God that feed our Spirit, last forever and get stronger as we get closer to Christ; while things from the earth only bring temporary satisfaction; and things from the earth cannot compare to the blessing from Heaven.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8) If we read the Word we can see that God is always faithful, which means we can fully trust Christ in all things. Faith in God shows that we know God and we trust his ways over our ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) How can we not trust God who loves us more than anyone on this earth.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:8-10) We are not saved by works, but are created to follow Christ. With a heart of love, we are driven to bring people to Christ, and Christ is looking at what motivates us. Jesus was motivated by a heart of love and we are motivated by heart of love, and that is what makes us to be Christ-like.
Today have life to the full by serving Christ, as we are guided by the Spirit. With the mind of Christ, we will pray that the Lord leads us to help others and tell them about Christ, and to bring those in the church closer to Christ.
Prayer: Lord thank you for life to the full, and give us the love and wisdom to follow Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
