Live as God Created
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
Every person is created in the image of God, but how many people in this world actually live as created? The best life is to live as created, and Heaven will be our eternal home. Every thing always works better when operated as designed, and it is the same people.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) As we go through life serving Christ, God renews our mind toward the mind of Christ. Our mind renews based on our thinking, that is why we read the Word, pray, and have a church family, because it will keep our mind on things above. The Holy Spirit connects us to Christ, who gives us the power to control our thoughts.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Romans (1 John 4:7-8) We are created to have the mind of Christ, and like Jesus we have a heart of love. It’s a heart of love that truly connects us to God, and motivates to serve Christ and bring salvation to people. A heart of love is the foundation of the Christian life. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these. (Mark 22:37-38)
Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, (Matthew 20:26) Jesus was a servant and we are to be like Jesus, therefore we are servants. Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. (Philippians 2:6-7) If Jesus lived on earth as a servant, and we are to be like Jesus, then we should have a servant heart.
For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (Romans 8:14) Christians are led by the Spirit and by the Word of God, just as Jesus was led by the Father. Christ leads us through the Spirit and we need Christ with us at all times. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) How can live as created without Christ being with us, guiding thoughts and words, and guiding us to people that need to hear the good news.
Today know you are created in the image of God, and seek to live as created. Seek to be guided by Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Father, help me to live as you created me, and keep changing me to bring lost souls to Christ. In Jesus name, Amen
