Life with Victory

Posted on

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

1 Corinthians 10:13

This verse is a promise of God; Satan will never tempt us beyond what we can bear and Christ will give us an escape. Christ has total power over Satan, and when we call for Christ, Satan must flee. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57) We can live in victory through the divine power of Christ, because He has power over Satan, and Christ wants us to call on Him for his power to live in victory.

When we are tempted, we always blame Satan, because we can fight Satan since he is trying to destroy us in hell. For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God is directed toward you. (2 Corinthians 13:4) Christ died on the cross for our sins, and he gives us his power to overcome Satan’s temptations, because Christ has defeated Satan.

We can live in victory even though we cannot be perfect living in this flesh, but we have forgiveness through Christ. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (1 John 5:4) Through our faith in Christ we have victory over the evil in this world. And we live in victory because the world cannot touch our soul and that is why the word says: And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) When we die, hopefully at old age, we are alive in the spirit, and when Christ returns, we get a young body that lives forever in Heaven.

Today seek to live in victory through the power of Christ.

Prayer: Lord, help me to live in victory over the evil from Satan. In Jesus name, Amen
