Hope in Christ’s Return
Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Matthew 24:44
What a grand time it will be when Christ returns and takes us to our heavenly home to be with the Father and the Son. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. (Matthew 24:31) When Christ returns everyone will know the Truth and will mourn. Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:30) All people on the broad road that never accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior will mourn.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:19) While we are living our earthly life, we mourn for all those souls who don’t know Christ and we seek to bring Christ to a lost world. When Christ returns, it will be too late. We will be meeting Christ in the air and our thoughts for lost souls will disappear because our thoughts will be totally on Christ.
Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. (1 Peter 1:13) We live with hope knowing the Lord will come for us and take us into Heaven to be him. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. (John 14:3-4) We must always be ready when Christ returns. We are receiving our reward for living our life with Christ in us giving us his power through trials to fight temptations from Satan and to minister to lost souls. We will now be in the presence of Christ in Heaven.
Today, live knowing that the Lord will return to take to you be with him. Live for Christ this day knowing your heavenly reward is waiting. Realize this life is short like a vapor, but Heaven is our eternal home.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for being with me and giving me your love and strength to minister to lost soul. I know you will come back and take me to be with you in Heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen
