God is Holy, Holy, Holy
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14
God is holy, holy, holy which means God is always perfect, and God is pure light with no darkness. Holy means we are separate from the sin and we are light of the world. Since we are not perfectly holy, there is darkness in our light. We strive to be perfect, but when we fall short, we ask God to forgive us.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) We seek to remain holy by always trying to do good. It is important we associate with other Christians because it helps us to remain Holy, and we minister to the world with one or more Christians, that way we can keep each other Holy.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) Christ gives us divine power to remain Holy, and not to conform to the pattern of the world. Our minds are being renewed from the ways of the world to the ways of God, which means we continually get more holy over time.
Today, remember to be Holy in every situation, and refuse to let Satan trigger your emotions. Instead, respond with a humble heart and with Godly wisdom and show the world that you are calm and holy.
Prayer: Lord, help me to be Holy and not conform to the pattern of this world. Guide me in the Spirit to be in control and to reflect Godly wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
