Faithfulness to the Lord
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:3
The Lord is perfectly faithful, and we should be faithful, because we are saved by faith. For The Lord loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. Psalms 37:28. Our faith is critically important to the Lord because he is perfectly faithful to us.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) We need to trust the Lord more than we trust ourselves, but Satan seeks to make us lean on our own understanding, without us even being aware. All things are possible for God, he loves more than we can imagine, and Christ died on the cross for our sins: so how can we not be faithful to the Lord.
For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) We are righteous to God because we live by faith. With faith that pleases God, we obey every command in the Word, and we obey everything the Lord puts on our hearts; even if we don’t fully understand. We cannot fully understand all the Lord’s ways, but we follow the Lord because he is perfectly faithful to us.
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16) We believe in the Lord, which is our faith, because of the love of Christ who died for our sins and forgiveness.
Why? Because they did not pursue it by faith, but as though it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone, (Romans 9:32) We serve Christ by faith, which means we have a heart of love which motivates us to help others, and tell them about salvation on Christ. Serving the Lord is not by works, it’s a desire from our hearts, and we pray for the Lord to open doors so we can help others and tell them about Christ; because that is how we are created to live. We need the Lord with us at all times, to give us the words and scriptures, and to reveal a caring loving heart.
Today be faithful to the Lord, and seek opportunities to tell others about eternal life.
Prayer: Lord, help me to always be faithful and to fully obey the Word. And I Pray that Christ will always be with me. In Jesus name, Amen
