Crucified With Christ

Posted on

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

Paul is stating that he has been crucified with Christ, which means his life is Christ. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) We are free when Christ is our life, and we let Christ guide our life.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) God renews our mind so Christ will be our life, because that is the way God created us to live. We need Christ with us, because we are a light on a hill.

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your] life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:3-4) We are crucified with Christ, and our life is now hidden Christ. When we live for Christ, it is the way God created us to live, and it will become natural to us.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, (1 John 4:18) Life is in our spirit, and the world cannot touch our spirit, therefore we have nothing to fear. When we know our eternal life is with the spirit, we have the power to overcome Satan temptations and we have no fear of death of our physical body. When our physical body dies, we step into eternity, and where we go depends on our life in this world.

Today fill your mind with God’s love and live with the freedom from being guided by the Lord’s good, pleasing, and perfect will. Today walk in peace and joy, and live this day to the fullest in Christ.

Prayer: Lord, help me to die to self and live for Christ. Keep renewing my mind and changing my heart to reflect Jesus to the World. In Jesus’ name, Amen
