Faith

Posted on

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

It is critically important that our faith is pleasing to God, otherwise we cannot please God. The most difficult aspect of our faith is to fully surrender our lives to Christ, trusting our lives in the hands of Christ, to guide us down the narrow road to eternal life.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20) The apostle Paul died to his own will, because he trusted the Lord’s above his own will. No one loves us more than Christ, he wants to bless us, and we will never have life to the full unless we are guided by Christ.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) Live to the full means there is nothing is missing, and this life only comes when give our life to Christ. We pray for every decision we make and ask that we fully understand his guidance. There are many decisions we can easily make from the Word, but have to be careful not include our own justification.

Satan’s goal is to have us justify our own desire, thinking it’s pleasing to God. Jesus answered: “watch out that no one deceives you. (Matthew 24:4) The person that normally deceives a Christian; is self. Satan uses our own justification against us, and he does this without our even knowing it.

But to me it is a very small thing that I may be examined by you, or by any human court; in fact, I do not even examine myself.  For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord. (1 Corinthians 4:3-4) We should never be the only one who judges our Christian life, because we are all biased in some manner. Satan will have us justify our Christian life, just as those who don’t the Word, justify their eternal life with Satan’s lies.

Today surrender your life to Christ, because he will guide our life better than we could ever do. And don’t think you will become a slave to Christ, but Christ will set you free. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Christ frees us from the sinful world.

Prayer: Lord, help me to fully surrender to Christ, and make my faith pleasing to you. In Jesus name, Amen
