Faith in Prayer

Posted on

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so he may be glorified in the Son Father

John 14:3

Faith and dependance in prayer implies that we know God hears our prayers, and we trust his answer and his timing. We depend on God when we pray for miracles that only God can do, but how is our dependance when we pray for things that are our capability?

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) The verse says we cannot bear fruit unless we depend om Christ. If we are led by the Spirit when ministering, then we can bear much fruit. When we are not depending on the Lord, we are depending on ourselves with a thankful heart.

It.is a good habit to depend on the Lord for everything with a thankful heart. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. The more we realize that every good and perfect gift is from above in our lives comes from Lord, the more thankful we become within a heart of love. The more love and thankfulness we have in our heart, the more faith, and the more we depend on Him. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Today walk in obedience, communing with the Lord and praying his guidance. So walk confidently because you have prayed in advance for the day’s events, and you know the Lord will carry you through with victory.

Prayer: Lord guide me through today, and I pray you are with me today. In Jesus name, Amen
