Faith
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Hebrews 11:6
Faith is how we show that we know God and trust his ways over our ways. No one loves us more than God and he wants in Heaven more than we imagine. He has done everything possible so Heaven is our home, except he has given is free will; therefore, Heaven is our choice.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (Proverbs 3:5). Faith that pleases God is to trust Him more than we trust ourself. We have faith to be guided by Christ, and to do whatever he puts on hearts. If we refuse to do what the Word tells us, it reveals to the Lord that He is not priority in our life. With faith, we serve Christ as first priority and our life is to obey Christ.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1) Faith in God shows that we know God, and willing do whatever he puts on our hearts, which always agree with the Word. We obey the Lord even if we don’t understand, or its fearful, or its inconvenient. We obey the Lord and we are always rewarded because our faith pleases God.
Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them. (John 14:21) We show our love to the Father and the Son through our obedience, because it shows we have total faith in the Lord. Blessing from God feed our soul when our faith pleases him, and we know that God was pleased when the Jews in the Old Testament trusted him. But the Jews spent 40 years in the desert because they didn’t trust God, but relied on their own strength.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8) We are saved by faith that pleases God, because it shows that we totally depend on the Father and the Son to get us through life and into Heaven.
Today put your faith in the Lord and do everything as doing it for the Lord. Always pray for more faith every day, because faith brings us closer to the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, help me to live by faith and serve Christ. Draw me closer to you so that faith will continue to grow in my heart. In Jesus name, Amen.
