Eternity is Our Future
Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
John 5:24
Life on earth is short compared to eternal life, and the Lord has given us this short life on earth to prepare our self for our eternal life in Heaven. This life is short, and we should read the Word of God and prepare for eternal life before our life is over.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:14) Only few find the Narrow Road to Heaven which is found in the Bible. Through reading the Word and obeying the God’s perfect commands, we will live by the commands. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
This earth life is short and we must not delay to attend and Bible based Church, get baptized, and receive the Holy Spirit, and obey the Word of God. We are created to obey the Word of God, and is natural for us obey. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 5:3) We are created by God, and therefore it’s natural and desirable to obey God’s commands.
But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you will be My people; and you will walk in all the way which I command you, that it may be well with you. (Jeremiah 7:23) Obey the Word is an advantage in our life, and we have the favor of God in our life because Christ is always with us. Obeying the Word, God gives us peace and joy because know we have eternal life in Heaven.
When we obey the Word, we are changed; and we pray that God will help us to tell others about eternal life through Christ. Christ was Light to the world, and now we are a Light to the world. When Christ was crucified and He ascended back to Heaven, and the apostles were are a Light to the World, and traveled miles to tell others about Christ.
Today tell others about salvation in Christ because this life is short; and tell them to live by the Spirit and not by the flesh.
