Created in the Image of God
So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
Every person is created in the image of God, but very few people actually live the way God created them. Satan has deceived many people in this world to live for self instead of living for Christ.
Triune Beings – Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23) Our soul is basically our mind, our emotions, and our will, and our soul also worships God. The soul is who we are as a human. We can never express God’s love for us through our soul alone, because we then need the spirit to express God’s love. The spirit is our life, and without the spirit the body is dead. The body without the spirit is dead, (James 1:26)
Eternity in our Hearts – Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) We are created with eternity in our hearts, but many people live for the flesh instead of living for their spirit. Ever Christan should live every day for eternal life.
Relationships – As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17) We are created to have a Bible based church family, where members are joined together with love from the Spirit.
Good Works – For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Christ has prepared us to do good works from our hearts, but we don’t see them as works because we seek to tell people about salvation through Christ.
Renewable Mind – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) God has created us so our minds and be renewed, from the ways of the world to the ways of God, otherwise how could ever change?
Hope and Love – And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13) We are created for hearts of faith, hope, and love, because long- term fear is toxic to our health.
Today know we are created to live in the image of God so Heaven will be our eternal home. And when live as created, we live the best life possible because we know Heaven is our home, and Christ is always with us.
Pray: Lord, help me live as God created me, with a heart of love. In Jesus name Amen
