Created by God

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Genesis 1:27

Every human being is created in the image of God, which means we live by the Spirit; but Satan has many people living for their fleshly desires. God created us to live by the Spirit, but Satan does the opposite and deceives us to live by our fleshly desires.

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8) We are created by God to live by the Holy Spirit, and not by our fleshly desires; but just about everyone is raised living for their fleshly desires, and when they get older, most people continue to live by their fleshly desires. Which can make it difficult to stop being governed by our fleshly desires and change to be governed by the Spirit.

Attending a Bible based Church, getting baptized an receiving the Spirit, reading the Word, and praying; these are the things we need to change from living by our flesh to living by the Spirit. If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. It’s the Holy Spirit that connects us to Christ, and Christ puts thoughts in our minds to guide us through life.

It’s important to attend a Bible based church and to read and study the Word. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9) It’s through the Church family and the Word that prepares us to be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit, and change to live God created us.

As a Christian it is important to invite people to church, because they will learn about the Bible and make Christian friends. Christians are not created to live isolated, but to be with other Christians. It normally requires more than one Christian to bring others to church.

Today seek to reflect Christ to everyone and pray for a way to bring others to Christ. The Lord will put on our heart how the wants you to bring people to Christ.

Prayer: Father, help me to bring people to Christ so they can live as created by God, and Heaven will be their home. In Jesus name, Amen
