Christ Lives – We Live
But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
Romans 8:10-11
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63) Christ, through the Holy Spirit, gives life to our spirit meaning we live for eternity. Our flesh counts for nothing and it will never leave the earth. Only those who accept Christ as their Savior are spiritually alive.
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John 16:13) The Spirit only speaks what he hears meaning we are connected to Christ through the Spirit. Christ is alive and he lives in us, giving eternal life to our spirit.
We have eternal life because Christ took our sins to the cross. He arose and ascended into Heaven giving us victorious death. When we confess our sins, we have forgiveness from Christ, and he presents us to the Father as perfect. We have eternal life starting when we accept Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid. (John 14:27) Christ gives us peace through the Holy Spirit and he is telling us — do not be afraid. We know Christ lives in us and he protects our soul and he guides us through life into Heaven. We have nothing to fear because the world cannot touch our soul. Our flesh is like a suit and it comes from the world which means we cannot take our flesh into heaven. Our flesh is part of the world and it has to stay in the world.
Today, know you are spiritually alive for all eternity and you are loved more than you can imagine because you have accepted Christ as your life. Live this day to the full in Christ with peace and joy. Don’t let Satan fill your mind with fear but call on the Lord for a peaceful, enjoyable day.
Prayer: Lord, guide me in the Spirit to be Light in this world because serving you reveals that I am spiritually alive. Help me to always realize you live in me through the Spirit and to depend on you as I minister to the world. Forgive me for my sins and help me to always be closer to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen
