Christ is Life
The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life.
John 6:63
The Spirit gives life and lights up our soul. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life”. (John 8::12) We are spiritually alive and we have life forever, because we have the spirit of Christ in us.
The Spirit of God gives life to our spirit. We now have the Spirit of God filling our Spirit with His ways and His power. Through the Spirit our minds and hearts are being molded to that of Jesus. We are becoming alive in Christ, becoming the person we were created to be.
We now have a divine meaning for our life, to tell the world about salvation in Christ; and to live as a Light in this world. This is the life Jesus lived. He had a divine reason from the Father, take the punishment for our sins; and He was the Light of the world. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’ (John 8:12)
If we are always aware of living our divine purpose as a Light for Christ, then our soul will be in the Kingdom. We will be close to the Lord depending on Him for guidance in being a Light in this world. We will live in the Word and prayer, and we will always seek to be with our Christian brothers and sisters. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. (John 16:17) Jesus prayed telling the Father that His apostles are not of this world, because there home is in Heaven and they were ambassadors for Christ in foreign land. It is the same for us, and we know this because our soul can be in the Kingdom.
For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit. (1 Peter 3:18) We realize Christ has saved us and we now live by the Spirit putting the sinful desire of the flesh to death. We put to death the sinful nature of the flesh, then we fully live our divine purpose with our soul in the Kingdom. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. (Galatians 2:20)
You are now controlled by the law of the Holy Spirit who gives you life. (Romans 8:2) The Spirit gives life because through Spirit Christ lives in us. There is no life that exists, like the life we have when Christ lives in us. We are changed to have the mind and heart of Jesus and our life is better that we could ever imagined.
Today let the Spirit give you the life that Christ has for you, life to the full. Live for Christ today with your soul in the Kingdom. When living in the Spirit with your thoughts directed to Christ, then your soul is in the Kingdom.
Prayer: Lord, keep my thoughts on things above so my soul is the Kingdom always connected to Christ. Thank you Lord, for the divine calling for my life in serving you. In Jesus name, Amen
