Christ Gives Us Victory
For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.
Deuteronomy 20:4
When life gets difficult, we immediately go to the Lord for victory, because he knows exactly what we are experiencing. Jesus never did a miracle for himself, which means he went through life the same as we go through life, and he understands every sinful temptation we have. But if we immediately go the Lord in our troubles, he will guide us through with his strength and courage.
Instead of wrestling with our own weaknesses in struggles, we can go boldly go to his throne for favor. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews4:16) You can come boldly to Christ because we have faith. We will experience victory in our life, but the victory comes from Christ. We come to Jesus because our faith causes us to fully depend on Him in everything in life.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 16:33) Christ has overcome the world, and through faith in his divine power, we can overcome the world. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4)
Today fully depend on Christ and seek victory in everything you do, no matter his small or how big. Put your faith in Christ and in his strength, courage, and wisdom to overcome anything in life.
Prayer: Lord, remind me today that I have gain victory through Christ who bore my sins on the cross and overcame death. Today Lord I will celebrate, knowing I can be victorious in Christ. Through the love and the power of Christ I can overcome the world. In Jesus name, Amen
