Christ Died for Our Sins

Posted on

For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Romans 15:3-4

Christ was flogged and crucified for our sins, and now we have forgiveness when we have a sorrowful heart. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. (Galatians 2:20) Christ suffered a painful price so Heaven could be our home, because we cannot live a perfect sinless life.

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Satan scheme is to keep people busy living their earthly life, which keeps them from living for Christ. Many people are on the broad road that leads to eternal destruction, and only a few people find the road that leads to eternal life.

Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28) When we die, we step into eternity; the body dies but our soul and spirit lives forever. We are the only one who can destroy our soul; by conforming the world.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2) Satan goal is to have us conform to the world, but the Lord through the Bible, changes our thinking to the ways of God so Heaven will be our eternal home.

God changes our thinking through the Holy Spirit, which we receive through baptism. Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” (John 14:23) God has none everything we need so Heaven can be our eternal home, except he has given us free will. We can choose to follow Christ or we can choice to follow Satan.

Today read the Word, follow Christ, and show kindness to everyone.

Prayer: Everyday Lord give be heart of agape love, so I can reflect Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
