Born of God

Posted on

Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

1 John 1:12-13

When we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior and receive the Holy Spirit, then we are born of God; the Spirit of God lives in us, and the Father and the Son make their home with us. We are no longer living alone, but when we are born of God, God lives in us.

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) When we are born of God we start living in the image of God, and when we live according to how God created us, we live life to the full. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10)

When we are born of God we move into the spiritual world and develop a close relationship with Christ. We are spiritual people because our spirit is our life; it’s our thoughts, personality, and will. Our spirit and the Holy Spirit can become one, and through the Spirit we can live in the spiritual world. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:2) In order to live in the spiritual world, our thoughts must be geared toward the spiritual world.

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. (John16:13) The Spirit is our interface to Christ, who is willing to guide us through life with his divine love, wisdom, and power. Born of God means that God not only lives in us but guides us through life. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (John 10:10) Christ is with us and guides us with his wisdom and power working in us, and we overcome the world, which means we are controlled by the Spirit and not by the sinful things of the world.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1) Since we have overcome the world, we are now free in Christ, and there is always freedom when we live the spiritual world with our dependence on Christ. We are free and we minister to the world from the Kingdom within us. Jesus answered, “God’s kingdom is coming, but not in a way that you will be able to see with your eyes. People will not say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’ because God’s kingdom is within] you.” (Luke 17:20-21) When we become one with Christ, we are living in the spiritual world which means we are living the Kingdom of God which is within us. And living in the Kingdom we experience the continuous blessings of God that feed our soul.

Today realize you are born of God, that you are spiritual person, and live in the Kingdom. Our purpose is be a light on a hill, bringing Christ to the world. When born of God we have a divine purpose for living this life.

Prayer: Lord help me to always know in my heart that I am born of God and have divine purpose for living, Keep Satan from having the world control me, but help me to always be controlled by the Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen
