Blessings of Glorifying God
I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Your name forever.
Psalm 86:12
God is self-sufficient and self-existence and he is the source of all love. Nothing brings more joy to the Lord than to see his family living with a heart of love, peace, and joy. God loves us and takes care of his family if we know him and trust him. His desire is to give us life to the full and protect our soul for eternity until we go to our Heavenly home to be with the Father and the Son.
All throughout the Bible, we see God’s love and blessings, when we live the way we were created in the image of God. Therefore glorifying, praising, and thanking God is for our benefit. It is not a need for God but a need for us.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:3) We are created to be with God and our desire to be with him increases as we serve the Lord and glorify him. The more of God’s love we have in our hearts, the more we know God and his love and we receive his blessing from Heaven filling our soul through the Spirit. This gives us a heart of thankfulness.
When we glorify God, praising and thanking him, we receive comfort, security, along with peace and joy. This is why God wants to glorify him because he recognizes we are his children. He loves us perfectly and all things are possible for him. He knows he can take care of us all through our life and feed his wisdom and blessings into our soul, enabling us to overcome the world. Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4)
Ascribe to the Lord, you heavenly beings, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. (Psalm 29:1-2) When we glorify God and praise his name, our faith increases because we begin to recognize his love, infinite power, and wisdom. We begin to see God as he is, and we see ourselves as who we are.
Today, glorify and praise the Lord and walk with love, peace, joy and security in Christ. There is no security on earth that compares to the love, peace, joy, and security that comes from God. Blessings from God are greater than any worldly blessing.
Prayer: I praise and thank you God today for your love and blessings. May I reflect your joy to the world. May I show the world your security in Christ and show how your love drives out Satan’s fear. In Jesus’ name, Amen
