Be in Tune with the Holy Spirit

Posted on

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Acts 1:8

When we repent and are baptized, we receive the Holy Spirit, then we are connected to Christ and we can walk in his divine power. We will be in tune with the Spirit if we read and meditate on the Word, pray, and obey the Word of God.

The Spirit lives in us and he place thoughts in our minds and/or changes the desire of our hearts. We will not be fully in tune with the Spirit when the noise of the world pulls us away from the Spirit. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. (Colossians 3:2) If can be still inside and keep our conscience and sub-conscience mind on things above, we will notice the thoughts the Spirit put in our minds.

People that tune in to the noise of the world are a distance from the Holy Spirit and are not in tune with the Spirit. We seek to be in tune with the Spirit because the purpose of the Holy Spirit is to guide us. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. (John 16:13-14) Christ speaks to us through the Spirit, and what a great blessing to be guided by Christ.

The first step in hearing the Spirit is the desire to hear, then we will be still inside and strive to hear the Lord’s thoughts; and we pray for the Lord’s divine power to help us hear. The more we hear the Lord place his thoughts in our minds and hearts, the more we will desire to be guided by the Spirit.

Beings still inside and in tune with the Spirit can become our lifestyle We learn to see and hear the world through the Spirit, who filters everything from the world that is not of God. And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: (John16:8) When we see or hear something the Spirit will either guide us to it or away from it.

Today be still inside, and pray for the Lord’s help to be in tune with the Spirit. It’s rewarding when we can be guided by the Spirit.

Prayer:  Lord help me to be still inside and to be in tune to be guided by the Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen
