What is the Future?

Posted on

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Psalm 32:8

Facing the future can be fearful, based on the state of the world today. Through the Word we can see the future, and know what is happening over time. We can see what happened to Israel when they walked away from God in the Old Testament, and the same is happening in the world today.  However, we have no need to fear because the Lord is sovereign over all creation and we walk in the Lord’s family. The Lord will protect our soul and guide us through life with his power and strength into our Heavenly home; no matter what happens in this world.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) The Lord knows the future and he has a divine plan for us, and no one can snatch us out of his righteous hand. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.  (John 10:28) Knowing this verse in our hearts, takes away fear and keeps us living for eternal life. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. (Hebrews 11:1-2) We live with faith that keeps us close to Christ, and we know we have victory because God is in total control of all creation.

We refuse to live in fear because we live in victory, and we know the future, Heaven is our home. Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:6) Mankind cannot touch our eternal spiritual soul, and the Lord protects our soul from being controlled by the world. Every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. (1 John 5:4)

Today live in victory with no fear, because we live with the power and strength from the Lord, and Heaven is our eternal home.  Display your hope in Christ with the joy of knowing Heaven is your eternal home.

Prayer:  Lord thank you for filling my heart with your love and guiding me to face the unknown with confident hope in you, and overcoming any fear from Satan.  In Jesus name, Amen
