Walk Toward the Light
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 7:3-14
Imagine travelling down the narrow road to Heaven toward the Light of God. Everyday see the Light of God getting brighter, and do nothing that reduces the Light of God. Know that on each day you are closer to Heaven and to the Father and the Son.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. (John 17:4) Heaven is being with the Father and he Son, and imagine each day the Light is brighter because you are closer to the Father and the Son. See your self travelling down the narrow road through the clouds toward Heaven as the Light gets brighter.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:6-8) If we slip and are temporarily governed by the flesh, then see the Light of God getting further away. Ask for forgiveness and the power to overcome, and the brightness of the Light will be restored.
Today look up into the clouds and see the road going toward the Light, and the Father and the Son will know we want to be with them in Heaven. Looking toward the Light will keep the darkness of Satan away, because Light always takes away darkness. Remember that Jesus always went away to be alone when he prayed to the Father, and we do the same. Always see the Light of God when we pray.
Prayer: Lord, help me to aways lookup and see the Light to Heaven and destroy any darkness from Satan. In Jesus name, Amen
