Victory Over Satan
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
1 Corinthians 10:13
We have the promise from God that we will never be tempted beyond what we can bear, and He will provide a way so we can endure Satan’s temptations. We call on Christ every time we are tempted, and Satan has to flee because Christ has total power over Satan.
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57) We have faith in Christ, and we immediately call for Christ when we are tempted by Satan. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:15) We call ln Christ immediately before Satan temptation is conceived in our minds. We remember we can have victory whenever we call on Christ.
Sinful desires are conceived through our emotions, because Satan uses our emotions against us. Satan seeks to take control of us by controlling our emotions. Every Christian needs to control their emotions, just as Jesus did when he lived on this earth. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7) A Christs seek to remain calm in every situation in life, because we know Heaven is our home.
Recognizing God’s perfect love and the promise of eternal life gives us divine security, gives us confidence to overcome Satan’s temptations. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26). From the Word we know the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit have total control over Satan and his demons, and their divine power is offered to us to overcome the World. For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4)
Today live in Victory through the divine power of Christ, and we never let Satan control our emotions.
Prayer: Guide me to always call on Christ when Satan attacks., because I need Your power to overcome the evil in this world. In Jesus name, Amen
