Victory over Challenges

Posted on

For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Isaiah 41:13

Everyone has challenges in their life, some we accept with eagerness and some are fearful. If we accept difficulties in our life as a challenge with the attitude of victory in Christ, how might that change our attitude? We may eagerly accept a challenge to learn, to exceed in sports, or advance on our job. But some challenges such as the urgent need to find a job, keeping your kids away from drugs, the doctor changes your diet, or the insurance refuses to fix your wrecked car. There are many challenges in life that we could easily do without. Then how do we have joy when our challenges are fearful and we don’t see things progressing the way we would like?

We all have been in situations where life offers a challenge and we wish it had never occurred. This will test our faith, and provide the chance to see God work a miracle in our life. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26). Faith is a blessing, because in God’s family we pray for his guidance and help in our challenges, and he is eager to help us. We live to serve the Lord by reflecting Christ to others, and he is pleased, and he longs to bless us through the Spirit and provide for our needs. Our job is to follow the Spirit because he leads us through our challenges by guiding us and going before us. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8).

We trust the Lord in all things by letting him guide us through the Spirit, and we always trust him for the results, because it pleases him more than we know. We are God’s servants, and we know without a doubt that we can trust the Lord, and follow him through the Spirit, waiting patiently with excitement on how he will resolve the challenge. The Lord’s resolution to the challenge is always the best. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5). We may have heard this verse many times, but do we actually live by this verse? If we live by this verse our heart has changed and we trust the Lord because he is God. We may not experience joy when unpleasant challengers occur, but we can rejoice because all things are possible for God, and he promises to guide us through the challenge with his divine knowledge and power.

Today trust the Lord for any challenges you are experiencing, and know he will carry you through because he has perfect love for you. You are a son or daughter in God’s family and your life, both spiritual and physical are extremely important to him, and God and his angels are always looking after those in his family. Today know that God is with you.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for guiding me through all challenges in life, helping me to overcome the world. Lord, forever increase your love in my heart so my faith will continue to get stronger. Help me to trust you in all things, and understand that your answer to prayer is always perfect. Lord, your love is perfect, and your love overcomes my fear, thank you! In Jesus name, Amen
