The Road to Heaven

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

The road to Heaven is the narrow road and only people a few people find it. The problem is many people in this world never look for the road to Heaven. The road to Heaven is clearly described in the Word of God.
Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. (Romans 8:5) Many people live according to their fleshly desires, but we are created by God to live according to the Spirit of God.

The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6) When we live as God created us, we live with life that is filled with peace because we know Heaven is our eternal home. We live in the flesh and we make decision according to our flesh, but we also make sure the decision agrees with the Spirit.

Our life is traveling down the road to Heaven, but Satan is always trying to take us off the road to Heaven. But God has given us power over Satan; But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3). No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13). God has given us his power to overcome Satan’s temptations, and we have to be aware of God’s power to live in victory, so we stay on the road to Heaven.

We put the Lord first because if we don’t, we can drift off the road to Heaven. You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3) We let nothing on this earth take priority over walking with Christ. We are in spiritual war to stay on the road to Heaven, which means we live by the Spirit of God that is within us. We walk in this life with power of God in us. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20)

Today, live for Christ and stay on the road to Heaven. And remember God has given us power to overcome Satan’s temptations, who is trying to pull us of the road to Heaven.

Prayer: Lord, give me strength and wisdom to stay on the narrow road of life, and to help others stay on the narrow road, and give me victory when Satan attacks.. In Jesus name, Amen
