The Father and the Son are With Us
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”
John 14:23
If we love the Lord and obey his teaching, we will never be alone because the Father and the Son will make their home with us. This is a powerful verse because the Father and Son are always present with us, to give us whatever we need to do his divine will. We are never alone, and we can commune with Christ anytime.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6) We can be strong and courageous if we know the Lord is always with us, we can ask for his power, wisdom, or whatever we need to be light in this world. If Christ was walking with us through our day, how much would we depend on him? Well, Christ is within us and guides us through our day. He places thoughts in our minds through the Holy Spirit, and changes the desires of our hearts when needed.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1) The Father and Son are with us, and they will help us in every situation in life. All we need is faith, and ask for their guidance and help us through our day. God desires to help us through life and into Heaven, and he desires that we depend on Him for guidance, strength, and courage. We can walk through each day of life in the Lord’s power. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:3) Since the Father and the Son make their home with us, we can have fellowship with them as go through each day. And we will have a close fellowship with our Christian family, the Father, and the Son; which makes our worship more meaningful.
Today remember that the Father and Son are making their home with you, and talk to Christ as though he was standing beside you. The Lord’s desire is to guide you through each day to overcome Satan’s temptations, and to be Light for Christ.
Prayer: Lord let me never forget that you are with me and willing to guide me through life, doing your divine will. In Jesus name, Amen
