Seek to Remain Holiness

Posted on

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

1 Peter 1:15-16

God is referred to as Holy, Holy, Holy, which means God is perfect with no sin. It’s important to be Holy, because without being Holy we will never see God. Without holiness no one will see the Lord. (Hebrews 12:14)

The definition of being Holy: A life of holiness and total devotion to God. No person is can be perfectly holy; but we are forgiven when it comes from sorrowful heart. It is important we associate with other Christians because it helps us to remain Holy, and we minister to the world with one or more Christians, that way we can keep each other Holy. As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

Christ gives us divine power to remain Holy, and not to conform to the pattern of the world.
To remain Holy, we have to control over our emotions, because Satan will trigger our emotions to keep us from being Holy. If we are not holy, how can we reflect Christ to people.

If we can be still inside with peace from God, it will help us remain Holy. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (James 1:19). A Christian should remain calm in all situations with self-control. When we minister to others, it is important to remain calm, and respond with scriptures. Take advantage of every opportunity because these are evil times. Because of this, don’t be ignorant, but understand the Lord’s will (Ephesians 5:16-17). It’s the Lord’ will that we seek to remain calm with Godly wisdom.

To remain Holy in a difficult situation, we quote scriptures to remain Holy. The Word of God has powerful effect on us and many other people. Memorize scriptures, and being with another Christian, enable us to remain Holy. And we always as the Lord to keep us Holy in every situation we encounter.

Today, seek to be Holy in every situation, and refuse to let Satan trigger your emotions.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be Holy and never conform to the pattern of this world. Guide me in the Spirit to be in control and to reflect Godly wisdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
