Made Alive in Christ
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”
Ephesians 2:4-5
We are alive in Christ because the Holy Spirit gives life to our soul. The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you–they are full of the Spirit and life. (John 6:63) The flesh can only temporarily satisfy our soul, where the Spirit can continually feed our souls with blessings from Heaven.
When we are alive in Christ, we know we live forever in our Heavenly life, and that Christ is with us in this life through the Spirit. We are alive in Christ, we have a heart filled with God’s love which takes away our fear, and we are filled with peace and joy that never goes away. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, Christ guides us and gives us a divine purpose for our life that exceeds any other reason for living. Christ gives meaning to your life, and when he appears, you will also appear with him in glory. (Colossians 3:4 CEV)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) Only Christ can give a life that is continuously fulfilling. The world can never give a fulfilling life because, without the Spirit, life has no divine meaning. Life to the full only comes from Christ and it is a life where nothing is missing.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. (2 Peter 3:18) One of the greatest advantages of life in Christ is spiritual growth. By getting closer to Christ, our life continually gets better and more fulfilling. Nothing from the world can continually feed our soul the way Christ pours Heaven into our souls. People that don’t know Christ are trying to satisfy their souls from things of the world. We pray for these people, knowing only Christ can bring Heaven into their souls and give them comfort and security.
Today, seek to fill your soul from Heaven by serving the Lord. This is the divine meaning for life and it gives life to the full. Live in the Spirit and reap a continuously fulfilling life.
Prayer: Lord, fill my heart with your love motivating me to be a Light for Christ. Guide me in the Spirit to continuously grow closer to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen
