Love the Lord your God
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
Mark 12:30
It is important that we love God because He is the one that has given us life. God sent his son to die on the cross for our sins, and it was a painful price for Christ.
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “There is no commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:31) There is no greater command than love God and love others as we love ourself. Love is the greatest command, love God and love people. God is love, and how can we be like Christ without a heart of love?
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. (Matthew 7:13-14) Many people are on the Broad Road because they don’t love God, and when we truly love God, our life is changed forever, and we are closer to Christ.
God knows us better than we know ourself, and he knows exactly what we need to become the person he created. God knows our every thought and action in our life. There is nothing that we can ever hide form God. If want Heaven to be our home, we have to control our thoughts words, and actions.
For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. (1 John 4:20) If we don’t love others, our brothers and sisters, then we cannot love God.
Today love God because he loves us more than we can imagine.
Prayer: Lord help me to control my thoughts, words, actions today; and guide me to live today that pleases You. In Jesus name, Amen
