Life by the Spirit
If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit
Galatians 5:25
Life by the Spirit is to be dependent and controlled by the Spirit; then we will be in control, just a Jesus was in control. We seek to be in control, and by going to the spirit for guidance, we can respond according to the Lord’s will.
Since we are not perfect living in the flesh, we are not always controlled by the Spirit, but over time we can remain in control because the Spirit is with us. The Spirit can have control over us without even being aware, because depending on the Spirit can become second nature to us.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians10:5) If we live with confidence in the power of Christ, and we capture our thoughts to obedience in Christ, we can experience a powerful feeling of victory. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Seek to be in a state of peace and joy from Christ, and there are things in life that we are not looking forward to, and pray the Lord will help you through. I can do all things through him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13) We go through things on life that we may fear, but always pray for the Lord to give us his strength to endure.
Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. (1 John 5:4). The Lord gives us power to overcome sin that comes from the world through Satan. But through the Spirit we walk in wisdom, and we make Godly decisions to overcome Satan temptations.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery (Galatians 5:1). We are free in Christ and Heaven is our home; and our life is in our Spirit. We are free because the world cannot touch our spirit, and we seek to keep our spirit close to Christ and is power.
Today seek to live by the Spirit, and the more we know the Word and pray, the easier it can be to live by the Spirit.
Prayer: Lord, help my life to be guided by the Spirit, and always help me to be in control.
