Heart for God
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:23-24
If we give our heart to the Lord, we will reflect Christ to everyone. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) A heart for God seeks to overcome evil, but no one is perfect and we ask for forgiveness every day.
I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. (John 15:5) We depend on the Lord’s guidance when we minister to others, and He will give us the words and scriptures that need to be heard by the people we are ministering. We minister to the world because we are motivated by our love for the Lord and our love for people. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) Everything in the world changes, but the Lord is the same forever.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16) We are a light on a hill reflecting Jesus to the world.
Today, seek to have a heart for God, and do everything for the Lord, Pray, for the Lord’s help and divine guidance and do everything for the Lord.
Prayer: Lord, let the Spirit guide me to reflect Christ to everyone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
