Eternal Life is Our Choice

Posted on

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Matthew 7:13-14

We can live this life on the narrow road that leads to eternal life in Heaven, or we can live this life on the broad road that leads to eternal destruction; the choice is ours. No matter what we choose to believe, we are destined to die, then judgment for where we spend eternity. Our belief changes nothing, and if we don’t know the Word, we will believe Satan’s lies by default.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) People have the choice to believe in Christ or not to believe in Christ, and if they choose not to believe they latch on Satan’s lies: “I hope my good out-weighs my bad, I am a good person, I don’t believe in God, or the Bible was written by man.” These are all lies from Satan that people believe because they never search for the Truth given in the Word.

And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (Romans 8:9) If we don’t have the indwelling Holy Spirit, we don’t belong to Christ and Heaven will not be our eternal home. People have a lifetime to read the Word and find the Truth.

For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:21) There are approximately 2500 prophecies in the Bible and roughly 2000 prophecies that have become true in every detail, hundreds of later. Every Christian church in the world goes by the Bible, and when they have the Holy Spirit and follow the Word, they are changed and become like Jesus in their thoughts, words, and actions.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:10) Satan goal is to kill, steal, and destroy God’s people with his lies and deceptions, and if we don’t know the Word, we have no options except to believe Satan’s lies. When we read the Word and find the truth, we will start living life to the full, which means there is nothing missing; and we know Heaven is our eternal home.

Today tell others that eternal life is their choice, and combat the lies they believe from Satan with the truth from God’s Word.

Prayer: Lord guide me bring your truth to souls that believe Satan’s lies. Help me replace Satan’s lies with your Truth. In Jesus name. Amen
